FAQ

What Are Weightlifting Straps For?

Weightlifting straps are used to enhance grip strength during heavy lifts, helping you hold onto the barbell or dumbbell more securely.

What Are The Benefits Of Lifting Straps?

  • Improved Grip: Helps maintain grip on heavy weights.
  • Lift Heavier: Allows you to focus on lifting without worrying about grip fatigue.
  • Enhanced Performance: Enables more reps and heavier lifts by reducing grip limitations.

When Should I Use Lifting Straps?

Use lifting straps during heavy pulling exercises like deadlifts, rows, and shrugs, especially when grip strength is a limiting factor.

What’s The Difference Between Wrist Wraps And Lifting Straps?

Wrist wraps are only worn around the wrist for joint support and stability. While lifting straps are designed to secure your hands to the weight to help improve grip strength.

How To Put On Lifting Straps

How you wear weightlifting straps will depend on what type you get! For UPPPER Lifting Straps (lasso style) follow these directions:

  1. Place the loose end through the loop on the other end of the strap to create a bigger loop, then put your hand through said loop.
  2. Secure the loop around your wrist by tightening the strap, making sure it’s resting comfortably against the lower part of the back of your hand.
  3. Place the strap in a way that the loose end that’s sticking out is on the palm of your hand, pointing between your index and thumb. If it’s pointing the opposite way, redo the initial loop the other way around.
  4. Wrap the loose end of the strap around the barbell or dumbbell by tightly looping it underneath and around the bar.
  5. Twist the barbell or dumbbell towards you to finish tightening it until you feel it completely secured in your hand.
